Hussain Sajwani In Real Estate Development

Hussain Sajwani is the current CEO and chairman of the real estate developers DAMAC Properties in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He graduated from the University of Washington and went on to start his career at GASCO as a Contracts Manager.

The company was a subsidiary of the much greater Abu Dhabi National Oil Company. He, later on, began service in the food industry starting his own catering business. He has catered for the US military and other companies such as Bechtel.

He had noticed the large numbers of people venturing into the UAE and had taken this opportunity to build some hotels to accommodate them. After Dubai allowed foreigners to own properties in 2001, Hussain Sajwani decided to transition to the real estate business. In 2002 he launched his own company DAMAC properties.

DAMAC is publicly listed and has shares being traded in the Dubai Financial Market. It has also been the first Middle East Company to be listed on the London Stock Exchange. It currently has over 2000 employees and earns revenue of over two billion dollars.

It has completed many projects in the Middle East areas such as Qatar, Abu Dhabi, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and in Dubai. It also has ongoing developments in the UK, Jordan and other countries.

It has had significant events in Dubai including the Trump International Golf Club. This was launched by Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. they have also developed another golf course in AKOYA Oxygen.

It also acts as the home to Vista Lux and The Dubai Rainforest. Hussain Sajwani has a friendly business relationship with Donald Trump. They continuously meet up to talk business, as mentioned on

It might at times be direct or indirect when he meets up with Trump’s children, Eric, Ivanka and Donald Trump Jr. Hussain had met with the then Presidential candidate Donald Trump in the Washington hotel opening.

Their relationship has also been made clear by the opening of the Trump International Golf Club in Dubai. Hussain Sajwani (@hussainsajwani) and DAMAC properties are involved in philanthropic activities. Some of them include donating two million dirhams to clothe deprived children across the world.
