These accusations caught them an unawares as the platforms that were associated with these claims were no longer under their management directly though they retained interest which they later sold the current CEO to Carl Ferrer. The manner in which they got arrested was unlawful as they were both ambushed in their homes while carrying on their normal activities.

Even though the case involved seven suspects, only Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin’s names were made public which could be said to be unfair. This was not the first time the two got humiliated publicly as their rights got violated as the officers could have used a more civilized way to carry out the arrests. Funny enough, the Front Page Confidential which they founded was at the forefront to report their predicaments other than report the misdoings they were experiencing.

Before this incident, Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin landed into problems with the law in 2016 where they faced pimping charges that were filed by Kamala Harris. The two were arrested alongside Ferrer the CEO of Backpage and were once again humiliated especially on television and stayed in prison without being offered bond for several days. Before that as well, the two had become victims of the injustices that were committed against them by Joe Arpaio a then Sheriff based in Maricopa County.

The said sheriff had unsolved disputes with Latinos and Hispanics and was concerned about illegal immigrants. During the reign of Joe Arpaio as the sheriff, he made intolerable the lives of immigrants especially those of Latino and Hispanic origin. Lucky for them though, this time they filed a case against the sheriff and the state which saw them get paid a whopping Lacey $3.75 million for the settlement of that particular case.

With the proceeds from the lawsuit settlement, Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin decided to establish an organization which they named Lacey & Larkin Frontera Fund. The organization’s primary purpose was to assist the Latin-American groups in the state of Arizona that were being discriminated against by their origin and race.

Even though the two went through a lot of injustices, it was for good as they would now fight for other people’s right out of their individual experience. The bad publicity they have had to endure over the years has not clouded the few initiatives they started to help their people.

Before their predicaments and encounter with the law, both Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin were doing well in the world of journalism, and they set an undeniable pace that current media houses have dared to emulate. Having been courageous enough to challenge the then leadership under the corrupt sheriff means that they brought a revolution that is felt up to date.

  1. It might have been insttrumental to making a very basic decision but I think that will have to be more than often so important. Nearly all cheapassignmenthelp.com legit companies have looked at the issues and I think they are smart about their position. It should really have a problem we should think about because people do not care so much about the reasonable consensus.
